CHICAGO (WLS) -- A young boy and a woman were shot while inside of a vehicle Wednesday evening on the city's South Side.

The shooting happened around 7:36 p.m. in the 6900 block of South Lafayette Avenue in Greater Grand Crossing, Chicago police said.

A 30-year-old woman was shot in the knee and a 2-year-old boy was shot in the foot while they were inside of a parked vehicle at the location, police said. They were both taken to hospitals in good condition.

Police said the woman did not provide further details about the circumstances of the shooting.

No arrests have been made as CPD continues to investigate.
