OREGON CITY Ore. (KPTV) - The man accused of stabbing and killing an off-duty postal worker at his Clackamas home was found guilty of murder by a Clackamas County jury on Wednesday, according to the district attorney’s office.

The jury found 53-year-old Chad Michael Westover guilty of second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon after he stabbed Tristan Thomas repeatedly on Sept. 21, 2024, at the apartment complex where he lived on Southeast Sunnyside Road.

According to court records, earlier that day, Thomas got into a fight with a neighbor named Christopher Stewart. During that fight, Thomas pepper-sprayed Stewart and Stewart pushed Thomas to the ground.
