CHICAGO (WGN) - A 2-year-old boy and a 30-year-old woman were shot Wednesday night while sitting in a parked vehicle on the South Side.
Chicago police said the shooting happened just after 7:30 p.m. in the 6900 block of South Lafayette Avenue in the city's Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood.
The 2-year-old boy was in the back seat of the vehicle and was shot in the foot. He was then taken to Comer Children's Hospital in good condition. The woman, meanwhile, was shot in the knee and taken to University of Chicago Hospital also in good condition, according to investigators.
Police said the woman was unable to provide further details on the shooting.
No arrests have been made and Area One Detectives are investigating.
