MADISON (WKOW) — The Progress Center for Black Women is shifting its operations due to changes at the federal level. The organization is expanding its workforce development program and bringing resources to the Meadowlands apartment complex in Madison, and a shelter in the area. This brings career and stability services directly to where people live.
Sabrina Madison, the center's founder and CEO, said there is a demand for this change. She says the shift is necessary due to the Trump administration's changes to the review process for equity-based grants.
