WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) — Wichita city leaders are set to vote next Tuesday on a series of ordinances aimed at improving housing conditions, holding landlords accountable for repeated code violations, and protecting tenants using housing vouchers.

City Council Member Brandon Johnson said the measures include adopting the International Property Maintenance Code with local amendments, creating a rental registry for landlords with multiple violations, and strengthening tenant protections.
