In the final preparations before the state cross country meets next week, four local teams converged on Centennial Park in Helena for the annual crosstown cross country meet.

It was a little different this year, and not just the location. Townsend and Jefferson were added to the mix, putting four teams in the field.

Yet, Helena ran away with both titles. The Helena boys took first with 15 points, thanks to a first-place finish from Milo Kauffman, who cruised to a first-place finish with a time of 15:48, 41 seconds ahead of runner-up Garrett Hinderman, a Helena teammate.
