Palm Springs International Airport is refusing to show a video of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem because of its political message blaming Democrats for the federal government shutdown.
The airport joins dozens of other across the country that have said they will not play the video.
Airport spokesperson Jake Ingrassia said the Hatch Act, a 1939 federal law that bars most civil servants in the executive branch of government from engaging in some forms of political activity, prohibits using public facilities for partisan political messaging, as does California law.
