A police patrol car has been rammed during a pursuit in South Australia 's Adelaide Hills.
Police were called to a service station in Mount Barker about 2.30am today to reports two people were intoxicated.
Officers said they saw a man and woman get into a black Holden ute and take off onto Adelaide Road.
Police chased after the Holden but the vehicle did not stop.
The vehicle was pursued for a short distance through Mount Barker before it came to a stop on Flaxley Road.
The car then allegedly reversed at speed and collided with the front of the patrol car.
The police officer inside the vehicle was not physically injured.
The vehicle was left with extensive damage and had to be towed from the scene.
