Rajinikanth and director Sundar C are reportedly considering a new film together, nearly three decades after their collaboration on their iconic blockbuster, 'Arunachalam'. According to reports, Rajinikanth is expected to finish another film before joining the sets of an anticipated project with Kamal Haasan, as the director and script for that film are still being finalised.

Speculation points to the new Rajinikanth-Sundar C project beginning after the completion of Nelson Dilipkumar's 'Jailer 2', which is scheduled for release on June 12, 2026. While the project with Sundar C is yet to be officially confirmed, discussions are reportedly ongoing.
