LOVING COUNTY, Texas — Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has reportedly filed a lawsuit and requested a temporary restraining order against Malcolm Tanner, an Indiana resident, who is allegedly offering people free housing in Loving County, Texas, to help him achieve his political goals.

Paxton said in an immediate release on Monday that he wants to make sure Tanner is complying with the public health requirement of the Texas Health and Safety Code.

Tanner, a resident of Crawfordsville, Indiana, reportedly owns two five-acre tracts of land in Loving County that do not have any utilities or improvements.

Paxton said, despite this, Tanner has invited and caused numerous people, including many women and children, to move onto and inhabit the land without any provision for the proposed disp
