MISSOULA — The Missoula Hellgate Knights and Missoula Sentinel Spartans faced off twice in less than two weeks this season.
Both times, the match required five sets. Both times, the Knights emerged victorious. Staying composed, Knights sophomore Cady Schneider said, helped her team secure another last-minute win.
"Playing in these situations, it just depends on who has more energy," Schneider told 406 MT Sports. "I have so much fun during these, the energy and environment is just always so fun."
Under the leadership of first-year head coach Patrick Hiller, the Knights moved to 8-2 in conference play after the five-set (17-25, 25-18, 25-23, 21-25, 15-12) win. The team is in a race for the Western AA title alongside Helena, but the win also provides a crucial tie-breaker over the Spartans
