An indoor padel centre, along with a small gym, showers and changing rooms, and a cafe/bar is set to open on an industrial estate in Kent . A change of use application has been made by Slough-based Padel Hub for Chapman Way in Tunbridge Wells .
The six double padel courts would be open seven days a week, from 7am to 11pm. There would also be a seating area at the centre, off North Farm Road.
Permission is sought from Tunbridge Wells Borough Council to change the use of the empty unit in Tavis House Business Centre from light industrial and storage, to use as the padel centre. The unit in Haslemere High Brooms Estate is 2,105sqm floor space and 39 parking spaces will be created.
Sixteen staff would be employed at the centre. The application says: "One of the fastest growing sport
