In a fresh turn of events in the case of IPS officer Y Puran Kumar and ASI Sandeep Kumar Lather’s deaths allegedly by suicide, the Rohtak Police Wednesday filed an FIR in relation to abetment to suicide and criminal conspiracy.

The FIR names all the people mentioned in the final video of ASI Sandeep Kumar Lather, who allegedly shot himself on Tuesday after accusing Puran Kumar of corruption.

The FIR (number 305) was registered at Sadar police station in Rohtak just hours after Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini met Sandeep’s family in Ladhot village on Wednesday morning and assured them of justice.

Although the FIR was not made public at the time of reporting, the media reports said that four people have been named – Puran Kumar’s wife Amneet P Kumar, an IAS officer
