Week 8 of the prep football season in Michigan is already here and the smell of the postseason is starting to drift through the breeze.
For many leagues down here in Metro Detroit, those schedules are complete or will be completed this week.
There’s still a lot to play for as many other teams are fighting for their postseason lives or trying to secure a win or two just to get in or perhaps to host a postseason game.
As for league races, Macomb Lutheran North is trying to repeat in the CHSL Intersectional 1 this week. Almont, just outside of Macomb County by a couple of miles, can secure another outright BWAC title, already beating Macomb County schools Richmond and Armada.
