COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – The Coeur d’Alene Parks and Fire Department is preparing for a prescribed burn on Tubbs Hill. This initiative aims to clear piles of cut vegetation and is crucial for maintaining the area’s natural habitat.
Officials have indicated that the burn is scheduled to occur sometime in the first half of November. However, the exact timing will depend on weather conditions, and it may be postponed if necessary.
During the burn, Tubbs Hill will be closed to the public for at least two days. Residents are advised that if they observe smoke during this period, they should refrain from calling 911 unless they are certain it is unrelated to the planned burn.
