The National Weather Service released a frost advisory at 1:39 a.m. on Thursday valid for Friday between midnight and 9 a.m. for Lackawanna and Luzerne counties.
The weather service states to be ready for, "Temperatures falling into the low and mid 30's resulting in frost formation."
"Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered," describes the weather service. "Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold."
