A recent ‘failed’ delivery attempt by Australia Post’s StarTrack courier service has sparked a surprising online debate on social media.

Australia’s national postal service successfully delivers more than a million parcels to Aussie households and businesses every day.

However - as many eager online shoppers can attest - thousands of packages are not delivered, or are forwarded to a pickup location if the recipient is not home.

One disgruntled Aussie took to online platform Reddit to reveal a photo of a recent “failed” delivery attempt notification that included a photo.

In the snap, the delivery person shows the homeowner tending to the garden just inches away, despite reporting they were “unable to deliver” the parcel.
