Georgia football had to experience a field storm at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium not once, but twice last season because Ole Miss fans rushed the field prematurely.

That added another $100,000 to a fine that totaled $350,000.

The 28-10 loss on Nov. 9, 2024 still stings for some of the Bulldogs.

“I feel like the players that returned that played in the game last season have a chip on their shoulder,” inside linebacker Raylen Wilson said.

Quarterback Gunner Stockton was a backup then. He’s now starting against his highest ranked opponent this season as the No. 7 Bulldogs play the No. 5 Rebels Saturday Oct. 18 at 3:30 p.m.

“This is a whole new year,” Stockton said.
