On a recent Monday night, Oakville Coun. Janet Haslett-Theall asked the police to report back on what will happen to road safety following Premier Doug Ford's ban on speed cameras.
In Trent Hills, east of Peterborough, Mayor Bob Crate recently said he felt Ford was “throwing us under the bus.”
“I have yet to realize why obeying the law or not obeying the law is a ‘cash grab,’” Crate said in a meeting in late September.

And the same morning, an hour away in Brampton, Coun. Harkirat Singh said his phone has been blowing up with messages from people who live on streets covered by speed cameras.
