Billy Davies has revealed that the opportunity to work alongside "driven" Dougie Imrie and assist him in steering ambitious Greenock Morton towards their Scottish Premiership ambitions were the primary factors behind his comeback.
The ex- Derby County and Motherwell boss turned heads when, following an 11-year absence, he chose to take up the role of technical head coach at Cappielow earlier this campaign.
Davies has been hugely impressed by Imrie and is convinced his managerial trajectory is heading upwards, while Morton, as an institution, is eager to end its current 37-year absence from the top division.
