AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) - The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division arrested 22-year-old Mason Marsh for Impersonating a Police Officer and False Imprisonment.
Officials say these charges stem from an incident reported to the RCSO on October 10th.
The investigation revealed that Marsh conducted a traffic stop on a female driver using blue and red lights mounted on his light gray Hyundai Santa Cruz.
During the stop, Marsh identified himself as a police officer and stated that he pulled the driver over for cutting him off in traffic. When the female driver asked to see his badge, Marsh was unable to produce one.
The victim informed Marsh that she was calling the police, at which point he returned to his vehicle and left, telling her that he had her address.
