A 22-year-old North Augusta man has been charged with impersonating a police officer .
Mason Marsh also faces a false imprisonment charge after pulling over a woman in a mimicked traffic stop Oct. 10, according to the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.
Flashing red-and-blue lights mounted on a light gray Hyundai Santa Fe, "Marsh identified himself as a police officer and stated that he pulled the driver over for cutting him off in traffic," sheriff's office Chief of Staff Lewis Blanchard said in a statement. "When the female driver asked to see his badge, Marsh was unable to produce one."
When the woman said she would call the police, he drove away, saying he had her address.
