Three men in their 20s will appear in court charged with the rape of a woman at a popular tourist destination earlier this month.

Officers were told a woman had been raped on the lower esplanade of Brighton beach at about 5am on 4 October.

Karin Al-Danasurt, 20, and Ibrahim Alshafe, 25, who are both Eqyptian nationals from Horsham, and Abdulla Ahmadi, 25, an Iranian national from Crewe, have been arrested and charged with two counts of rape each, Sussex Police said.

They have been remanded in custody to appear before Brighton Magistrates' Court later on Thursday.
