The White County Area Plan Commission meets Friday morning with data centers being at the top of the agenda.

Data centers are increasingly common across the United States, driven by the expansion of artificial intelligence, with more than 1,200 already established nationwide according to Business Insider.

Local residents are encouraged to attend the meeting to express their views on whether data centers should be built in White County.

The meeting starts 8:30 at the County Government Building.
