WATERTOWN – Both the Watertown and Middlebury Police Departments have been assisting Waterbury police with their investigation of a homicide in Waterbury.

On the morning of October 7, 2025, at approximately 6:50 a.m., Watertown Police responded to the area of Lake Winnemaug Road and Sperry Road for a burglary. Officers located and arrested a black male party approximately 25 years old, wearing a dark tee shirt and light grey sweatpants in the area of the Lake Winnemaug Boat Launch (Lake Winnemaug Road at Caruso Drive).

The male party was identified as a possible suspect in an untimely death investigation from the previous night in Waterbury and was taken into custody.
