NORTH CAROLINA, USA — Demonstrators in Winston-Salem and Greensboro will join thousands nationwide Saturday for the second “No Kings Protest,” aimed at denouncing what organizers call the expansion of executive power under President Donald Trump.
The protest is part of a coordinated national movement that began four months ago, when millions across the U.S. took to the streets comparing Trump to the monarchs America’s founders fought against during the Revolutionary War.
In Greensboro, the event dubbed “No Kings 2.0” will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. along Meadowood Street and West Wendover Avenue. Organizers with Indivisible Guilford County said this year’s protest will look different from traditional downtown rallies.
“We’re taking a more visible approach,” organizers said
