All food-drink products to be approved by WHO, says FSSAI; Makes changes to rules concerning ORS labels on products, move aimed at improving consumer safety
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has stated that if the formula of any food-drinking product has not been approved by the World Health Organization (WHO), then the company will not be able to label that product as Oral Rehydration Salt (ORS). All companies have also been instructed to remove the ORS label from their products.
