Authorities say they have made positive identifications via DNA testing on 14 of the 16 people killed in the Oct. 10 explosion at Accurate Energetic Systems in Bucksnort, Tennessee.
Humphreys and Hickman Counties officials, and a special agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, announced the positive identifications during a 6 p.m news conference outside the facility gates Oct 15.
“I’ve spoken to all 16 families and they have been brought up to speed and are being included in all these conversations,” Humphreys County Sheriff Chris Davis said. “And I think that's just the blessing that a lot of these families need, is to be able to figure out some type of closure.”
