While trains remain a great way to connect major metropolises across the U.S., plenty of cities still don’t have an Amtrak station . From Las Vegas to Louisville, Mobile, Nashville, Phoenix, San Francisco, St. Petersburg… the list goes on and on.
Yet, one city may soon leave the list, as the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) recently published a press release announcing a huge investment with its out-of-state rail partners to push for a new Amtrak route stopping in Columbus as well as other Midwest cities.
Some of these cities haven’t welcomed an Amtrak train for decades, and MORPC is now claiming that a route in the area is crucial amid its rising population.
