WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- West Hartford town officials said the injured bear that has been seen stealing pumpkins is doing ok.
In a Facebook post Wednesday, Town officials said that although they want to help the bear recover from its injury, they can't do anything about it. They added that the bear was seen running despite having an injured leg/paw.
"Bears are remarkably resilient and adaptable, capable of overcoming numerous challenges, including physical injuries. The bear has demonstrated a strong will to persevere," town officials said in a written statement.
Town officials said they are collaborating with the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
