SANDUSKY, Ohio — When Cedar Point ’s HalloWeekends opened for the 2025 Halloween season last month, guests experienced a major change as the Sandusky amusement park is now charging extra money for access to the haunted mazes .

Cedar Point isn't alone in this change as parks companywide under the Six Flags Entertainment Corporation -- including Kings Island -- began implementing that same upcharge.

But in recent days, a number of Six Flags parks have announced they will stop charging extra to experience their haunted attractions for the remainder of the 2025 Halloween season.

Parks like Kings Dominion , Valleyfair and Worlds of Fun have posted the following message on their sites: “For the final weekends of Haunt, Haunted Mazes are included with your admission!”
