PHILADELPHIA (WPHL) -- Kada Scott has been missing for nearly two weeks, and police say they found key evidence connected to her disappearance.
Detectives searched the grounds of an abandoned school and found some of Scott's personal items.
According to police, Keon King, 21, turned himself in to authorities.
Earlier this week, Philadelphia Police Department Homicide Detectives took over the investigation. During a Wednesday morning press conference, police clarified that the homicide unit and the FBI are part of the investigation because they have the most experienced investigators and resources.
According to Deputy Commissioner Frank Vanore, detectives are treating the investigation as though Scott is still alive.
Scott was last seen on October 4 at her overnight job at The Terrace
