SRINAGAR: The government of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday announced a paid holiday on November 11, 2025, in Assembly Constituencies 27-Budgam and 77-Nagrota on account of the upcoming by-elections. Follow Us On G -N e w s | Whatsapp

As per official orders, the day of polling shall be treated as a paid holiday for every person employed in any business, trade, industrial undertaking, or other establishment and who is entitled to vote.

The order specifies that no deduction or abatement of wages shall be made for employees on account of the holiday. Even those who would not ordinarily receive wages for the day are entitled to receive payment as if they had worked.
