More than 200 cannabis plants have been seized from a 'sophisticated' farm in south Manchester.

Officers raided a property on Kingswood Road, in Withington , on Wednesday morning (October 15).

Greater Manchester Police says it was acting on intelligence it had received about the site.

Using a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act, officers discovered a 'sophisticated and well-established set-up', GMP says.

A man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis.

The warrant was carried out by GMP's Challenger team, which works to tackle organised crime in the city, including drug supply.
