Fall has arrived in full force, bringing pumpkin patches, harvest festivals and enough Halloween frights to keep you screaming through the season. But if you need a break from the spooky stuff, there’s plenty of film, music and family fun to fill your weekend too.

The San Diego International Film Fest runs through this weekend and you’ve still got time to grab tickets. Catch “San Diego Scene,” showcasing homegrown short films, or Fantasy Life, a comedy starring Amanda Peet.
