The new David Ellison owned Paramount Pictures is continuing business with genre producer Walter Hamada , renewing him and his 18Hz Productions with an exclusive, multi-year production deal.
Hamada, who produced New Line’s second highest grossing horror film series, Stephen King’s It ($1.18 billion global) and Matt Reeves’ The Batman at DC ($772.3M), will continue to develop and deliver horror pics in the low-to-mid budget range annually. Hamada first inked a deal with the Melrose lot in November 2022 following his run at Warner Bros as the DC Films Boss and as a New Line Production EVP.
