Hospice Northwest will be hosting a free half-day workshop for caregivers on Oct. 21 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The event — entitled Navigating the River — will be held at Hilldale Lutheran Church at 321 Hilldale Road. Lunch will be provided.

Caregivers will hear from speakers, make peer connections and visit a vendor's market showcasing local caregiver resources. Participants can drop in for part of the workshop or stay for the whole event.

Keynote speaker, Kimberley Ramsbottom, will explore ways to implement self-care and self-compassion and share recommendations on holistic care for caregivers.
