Diane Keaton’s friend is giving new insight into the Hollywood legend’s death.

After Keaton’s family revealed Wednesday that she died of pneumonia, her pal told TMZ that the “First Wives Club” actress was battling “an unnamed illness” before she passed on Oct. 11.

The friend added that Keaton’s death was “not a shock” to them. 8
