The film and fashion worlds came together on Thursday in London for the annual awards for emerging U.K. filmmakers held by the BFI and Chanel.

Under the official tile of “BFI and Chanel Filmmaker Awards: Celebrating Creative Audacity” the 2025 awards for rising British talent were chosen by a jury made up of Tilda Swinton, Edward Enninful and BFI chief executive Ben Roberts.

The winners this year includes writer/director Harry Lighton, whose debut feature “Pillion” bowed in Cannes, Sandhya Suri, whose narrative feature debut “Santosh” was the U.K.’s official selection for the Oscars in 2024, and The Neurocultures Collective — made up of Sam Chown-Ahern, Georgia Bradburn, Benjamin Brown, Robin Elliott-Knowles, Lucy Walker — and artist-filmmaker Steven Eastwood, behind “The Stimming Pool
