A juvenile has been taken into custody after online threats were made against Pearl Junior High and Pearl High School.

The Pearl Police Department confirmed the suspect was taken into custody Thursday morning after the threats were made on Wednesday. The suspect’s name is not being released at this time.

While Chief Nick McLendon said no active threats remain, law enforcement will be upped at all schools within the Pearl Public School District for the time being.
