I love a pretty little plate with a colourful elaborate morsel on it as much as any other posho food writer. But now the dark nights are here, comfort food is all I'm after.

Big hot bowls of love, hefty portions that are still bursting with flavour are what I want when I go out for dinner.

I want all of the clever flavour profiles our city's chefs are known for, that put us on the map, but I want enough of them so that I'm full to the brim when I'm done.
