STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A 27-year-old man was arrested after police allege that they caught him with drugs in his car during a vehicle stop in Eltingville.

Aaron Alvarez of Arthur Kill Road in Tottenville was driving a black 2023 Volkswagen Arteon 4D in the vicinity of Sylvia Street and Richmond Avenue on Oct. 8 at about 1:55 a.m., according to the criminal complaint and police.

Alvarez drew the attention of law enforcement in part because the sedan did not have any license plates attached to the vehicle, according to the complaint.
