Facing recent pressure to hold in-person town halls, Republican U.S. Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks held a wide-ranging telephonic event where she fielded questions on the federal government shutdown, immigration enforcement and a vote that slashed economic incentives for renewable energy.
Miller-Meeks' congressional office hosted a telephone town hall Wednesday, Oct. 15, that drew 10,700 attendees and marked her third such event in 2025. Questions were prescreened and callers had to fill out an RSVP form and be called into the event.
