New Delhi: Shots were fired at popular comedian Kapil Sharma’s restaurant in Canada late on Wednesday night (local time), NDTV reported.

This was the third such incident targeting Kap’s Café since it was launched in early July in Surrey, a city in British Columbia. ADVERTISEMENT

Gangsters Goldy Dhillon and Kuldeep Sidhu, both part of Lawrence Bishnoi’s operations, claimed credit for the attack on social media.

The first attack was on July 10, within a week of the café’s opening, when some employees were inside. The second attack took place on August 8, when at least 25 shots were fired.

Hours after the latest attack, Dhillon’s threatening post claiming responsibility reportedly surfaced, which warned the “general public” to stay away.
