SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — In the latest update to Utah's ongoing battle over its congressional lines, the plaintiffs in Utah's redistricting case have filed yet another motion, this time asking a lower court to block the "indirect initiative" effort by Utah's Republican Party, which, if signature thresholds are met, will ask the legislature to repeal Proposition 4, Utah's anti-gerrymandering commission and criteria.
The motion was filed as part of the redistricting case against the Utah legislature, naming Senate President Stuart Adams, House Speaker Mike Schultz, and Utah's Lt. Governor Deidre Henderson in the filing for a preliminary injunction.
