Diane Keaton’s family is shedding more light on her death last week at the age of 79.

In a statement to , the Oscar-winning actress’ loved ones confirmed she died of pneumonia on Oct. 11.

“The Keaton family are very grateful for the extraordinary messages of love and support they have received these past few days on behalf of their beloved Diane, who passed away from pneumonia on October 11,” the statement read.

Her family — which includes 25-year-old son, Duke, and 29-year-old daughter, Dexter — went on to list the causes that were close to the star’s heart and asked her fans to donate to charity as a tribute to her.
