(KRON) -- A widespread PayPal outage was reportedly impacting users' ability to log in to the payment platform Thursday morning. PayPal's status page showed all systems as operational, however, according to the DownDetector website, the payment app saw a spike in login issues sometime after 6 a.m.
User comments on the DownDetector outage page indicated problems logging into the mobile app, website, and completing transfers. Attempts to log into the iOS mobile app version of PayPal in the KRON4 newsroom were also unsuccessful.
There was no word on what caused the outage or when service would be restored. KRON4 has reached out to PayPal for more information.
PayPal has its headquarters in San Jose.
