This recalled rowing machine in your home gym could be a dangerous fire hazard

NordicTrack rowing machines sold from 2018 through 2022 are being recalled because the screen console may overheat and catch fire.

iFit has recalled 44,800 NordicTrack models NTRW19147, NTRW19147.1, NTRW19147.2 or NTRW19147.3, according to an announcement from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

“There have been eight reported incidents including two reports of fire, six reports of smoking or melting, and at least $6,000 in property damage. No injuries have been reported,” the commission said.

Owners should contact iFit for a free repair. A technician will install a replacement screen console.

The model number is printed on a decal attached to the rower base. The recalled rowing machines are black, gray and white and have “NordicTrack” printed in black letters on the front l
