A Cambridgeshire road is set to close for two weekends so major roadworks can be completed. To help complete the Barton Road (A603) section of the Barton Greenway sooner, permission has been granted to put traffic management in place during the next two weekends.

The night time road closures will now be extended to the weekends of Friday, October 17 to Monday, October 20 and Friday, October 24 to Monday, October 27.

For both weekends, this means:

Friday - normal night time closure from 8pm-6am

Saturday – there will be two-way temporary traffic lights between 6am to 8pm with traffic able to access the route and two push button crossing points for pedestrians and cyclists

Saturday night 8pm through to Monday 6am - Barton Road will be closed to traffic, with access maintained for ped
