The Dare County League of Women Voters (LWV) candidate forum for the Town of Manteo on Oct. 8 featured three incumbents on the Board of Commissioners who are running unopposed and the two candidates in the only competitive race, the contest for mayor.

With the resignation of Mayor Sherry Wickstrom in July, the mayor’s race features longtime resident and business owner Tod Clissold and Manteo native Betty Selby.

Selby and Clissold serve on the Board of Commissioners and Selby is Mayor Pro Tem.
